I'm Emma Purdy, the Psychologist at The Meaningful Minds Assessment Centre. Over the past 15 years, I've supported people across a range of mental health settings, including community services, schools, and private practice. Through this work, I've learned that no two people experience things in the same way — everyone brings their own story, strengths, and areas they're finding difficult.
My approach is grounded in being trauma-aware and strengths-focused. At times, this might involve learning new ways to cope; at others, it might mean gently exploring patterns that keep showing up in your life, relationships, or work. Whatever brings you in, I aim to walk alongside you and support you at your own pace.
I work with adolescents, adults, and families across areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief, and I also provide neurodevelopmental and cognitive assessments. I also have experience supporting individuals presenting with complex personality patterns and longstanding interpersonal or emotional difficulties.
My focus is on creating a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and able to be yourself. From there, we can work together in a way that feels right for you — whether that's building practical strategies, exploring challenges more deeply, or working towards meaningful change.
