Service
Individual Therapy
Psychological support for children (aged 6+), adolescents, and adults — at our Deakin clinic or via telehealth.
The Meaningful Minds Assessment Centre offers individual therapy in a warm, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Whether you're navigating anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, identity, or something harder to name, therapy can help you build insight, develop new skills, and make change that lasts.
What to expect
For clients aged 12 and younger, the initial appointment is for parents or carers only — an open conversation about the presenting concerns. Subsequent sessions are then scheduled with the child/adolescent, with parents, or both, depending on what's most useful.
Each appointment runs for one hour: 50 minutes of session time, with the remainder used to schedule follow-ups, document clinical notes, and plan treatment.
Approaches we draw from
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Schema Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Trauma-informed, strengths-based practice
Fees & rebates
Medicare rebates are available with a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. NDIS self- and plan-managed clients welcome. Please ask us for current session fees and rebate amounts when you enquire.
